Home Fire Safety Program:
Be Proactive In Preventing a Fire in Your Home

Home fires are one of the main causes of injury and death in the home. According to the U.S. Fire Administration in 2007, 84 percent of fires in the United States occurred in the home resulting in 3430 deaths. Fires can grow and spread quickly. Any time that can be saved when trying to exit a burning building is valuable time that may save a life.

The Bellevue Fire Department is offering a free fire education program that includes helping you identify home fire hazards, consultation regarding emergency escape planning and smoke and carbon monoxide detector placement and testing. Home fire safety inspections will be conducted at your home by an officer of the Bellevue Fire Department.

If you have any questions or would like to schedule a consultation, please contact the Bellevue Fire Department at 412-766-7455 or email us at wissner@bellevueboro.com
